The treatment of the surface of cast is not only aimed at good looks. Grinding and polishing are more intended to prepare and adjust your part in the finest details to your construction.

Through the process of grinding the cast is deflashed and put into its shape. This treatment is referred as a cutting process.

Polishing on the other hand is a smoothing finishinig process which applies in two ways. Firstly it forms and aligns rough part on the surface. And secondly is cuts very slightly materials off and fills up the indentations. The result of polishing is mostly a shining surface.
