Data Privacy statement

Section 1 Information about the collection of personal data

(1) Below, we provide you with information on the collection of personal data during use of our website. Personal data refers to all data which personally relates to you, such as 
     name, postal address, email address and user behaviour.

(3) When you contact us by email or using a contact form, the data that you have provided (your email address, name and telephone number if applicable) is stored by us in order to answer any queries you might have. We delete the data obtained within this context after it is deemed no longer necessary to store it, or we restrict its processing in the event of statutory retention obligations.

(4) If we wish to make use of contracted service providers for individual functions of our service, or use your data for advertising purposes, we shall inform you of the respective processes in detail below. In doing so, we shall also identify the specified storage period criteria.

(1) You have the following rights in respect to us regarding the personal data in question:

(2) You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority about the processing of your personal data by us.

Section 3 Collection of personal data during visits to our website

(1) During the purely informational use of the website, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise transmit us information, we only collect the personal data that your browser
     transmits to our server. When you wish to view our website, we collect the following data that is technically required by us in order to display our website to you and to
     guarantee its stability and security (legal basis is art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter f GDPR):

–          IP address

–          Date and time of request

–          Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

–          Content of the request (specific page)

–          Access status/HTTP status code

–          Quantity of data transmitted in each case

–          Website from which the request originates

–          Browser

–          Operating system and its interface

–          Language and browser software version.

(2) In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer during use of our website. Cookies are small text files which are assigned to and stored on the
     hard disk of your browser, and through which the authority who sets the cookie (in this case us) receives certain information. Cookies cannot run programmes or transmit
     viruses to your computer. They are used to make the internet service more effective and user-friendly overall.

(3) Use of cookies:

a)         This website uses the following types of cookies, for which the extent and functionality is explained below:

–          Transient cookies (refer to b)

–          Persistent cookies (refer to c).

b)         Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. In particular, these include session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, which is used
            to allocated the various requests from your browser to the joint session. This enables us to recognise your computer again when you return to our website. Session
            cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.

c)         Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified time period which can vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time using the security
            settings in your browser.

d)        You can configure your browser settings as you so wish, e.g. acceptance of third-party cookies or rejection of all cookies. Please note that you might not be able to use
           all of the features of this website.

Section 4         Use of Google Analytics

(1) This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” - text files which are stored on your
     computer and which enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is generally transmitted by Google
     to a server in the USA and stored there. However, in the event of IP anonymisation being activated on this website, your IP address shall be shortened beforehand within the
     member states of the European Union or within other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address shall only be transmitted to a
     Google server in the USA and shorted there in exceptional circumstances. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google shall use this information to analyse your use of
     the website, to compile reports about the website activities and to provide the website operator with further services associated with the use of the website and internet
     usage.

(2) The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics shall not be merged with other data from Google.

(3) You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly. However, please note that, in this case, you might not be able to use all
     features of this website to their full extent. In addition, you can prevent the recording of data related to your use of the website and generated by cookies (incl. your IP
     address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:

(4) This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. As a result, IP addresses are processed in a shortened form - which prevents them from being

      linked to a particular individual. If a personal reference can be made using the data collected, then this is immediately excluded and the personal data is promptly deleted.

(5) We use Google Analytics to analyse and make regular improvements to the use of our website. We use the statistics obtained in order to improve our services and make
     them more interesting for you as the user. Google has signed up to the EU-US Privacy Shield for the exceptional cases in which personal data is transmitted to the USA,

     www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter f GDPR.

(7) This website also uses Google Analytics to analyse the flow of visitors across multiple devices, which is carried out using a user ID. You can deactivate this usage analysis

      across multiple devices in your customer account under “My Data”, “Personal Data”.]

Section 5         Use of Matomo

(1) This website uses the web analysis service Matomo to analyse and make regular improvements to our website. We can use the statistics obtained in order to improve our
     services and make them more interesting for you as the user. The legal basis for the use of Matomo is art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter f GDPR.

(2) Cookies are stored on your computer for this analysis (more information about this in section 3). The responsible party only stores the information collected in this way on
     its server in [Germany]. You can adjust the analysis by deleting existing cookies and preventing cookies from being stored. Please note that, if you prevent cookies from
     being stored, you might not be able to use this website to its full extent, if applicable. It is possible to prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting your browser settings.
     It is possible to prevent the use of Matomo by removing the tick from the box below, thereby activating the opt-out plug-in: [MatomoiFrame].

(3) This website uses Matomo with the extension “AnonymizeIP”. As a result, IP addresses are processed in a shortened form - which prevents them from being linked to a

     particular individual. The IP addresses transmitted by your browser by means of Matomo shall not be merged with other data collected by us.

(4) The programme Matomo is an Open Source project. Information from the third-party provider about data protection can be found at matomo.org/privacy-policy/.

 

Section 6         Use of social media plug-ins

(1) We use the following social medial plug-ins: [Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Xing, T3N, LinkedIn, Flattr]. At the same time, we use the so-called two-click solution. In principle,
     this means that if you visit our website, no personal data is initially forwarded to the plug-in provider. You can identify the plug-in provider through the label on the box above
     its initials or logo. We offer you the opportunity to directly communicate with the plug-in provider via the button. The plug-in provide will only be informed that you have
     called up the corresponding website of our online service if you click on the highlighted field, thereby activating it. In addition, the data mentioned in section 3 of this
     declaration shall be transmitted. For Facebook and Xing, the IP address shall be immediately anonymised after collection, according to information from the respective
     provider. Your personal data is therefore transmitted to the respective plug-in provider through the activation of plug-ins and stored there (in the USA for American
     providers). As data collection is carried out by the plug-in provider through cookies in particular, we recommend that you delete all cookies using the security settings of your
     browser before clicking on the grey box.

(2) We have no influence on the data processing operations and the data collected, nor are we aware of the full extent of data collection, the processing purposes or the
     retention periods. We also have no information about the deletion of the collected data by the plug-in provider.

(3) The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as a user profile and uses it for advertising and market research purposes, and/or for the needs-based design of its
     website. In particular, an analysis of this kind takes place (also for users who are not logged in) for the purpose of displaying needs-based advertising and in order to inform
     other social media users about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of this user profile, whereby you must contact the respective plug-
     in provider to exercise this right. Through the plug-ins, we provide you with the opportunity to interact with the social networks and others, so that we are able to improve
     our service and make it more interesting for you as the user. The legal basis for the use of plug-ins is art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 letter f GDPR.

(4) Data transfer shall take place irrespective of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider or are logged on to it. If you are logged on to the plug-in provider, the
     data collected by us will be directly allocated to your existing account with the plug-in provider. If you click on the activation the button and, for example, create a link to the
     page, the plug-in provider shall also store this information in you user account and publicly share this with your contacts. We recommend that you regularly log out after
     using a social network, particularly before activating the button, as this shall enable you to prevent an allocation of this type to your profile by the plug-in provider.

Section 7            Integration of YouTube videos

 

(1)       We have integrated YouTube videos into our online service, which are saved on www.YouTube.com and can be directly played from our website. [These are all

           integrated in “extended data protection mode”, i.e. no data about you as a user is transmitted to YouTube if you don’t play the videos. The data mentioned in paragraph
           2 is only transmitted if you play the videos. We have no influence on this data transmission.]

(2)       Through visiting our website, YouTube is notified that you have called up a corresponding sub-page on our website. In addition, the data mentioned in section 3 of this
           declaration will be transmitted. This takes place regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account to which you are logged in, or whether there is no user account.
           If you are logged in to Google, your data is directly allocated to your account. If you do not wish for this data to be allocated to your YouTube profile, you are required to
           log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as a user profile and uses it for advertising and market research purposes, and/or for the needs-based
           design of its website. In particular, an analysis of this kind takes place (even for users who are not logged in) for the purpose of providing needs-based advertising and
           in order to inform other social media users about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of this user profile, whereby you must
