Unalloyed or low-alloyed steel castings
Steel castings which are not alloyed or have only low-alloys are according to DIN EN 10293 counted among the group “Steel castings for general purposes”. Parts made of this steel casting are only suitable for mid-range exposure.
Such materials may consist of very low shares between 0.1 and 0.5 per cent of carbon and also of manganese, silicon or molybdenum as alloy elements. As a finishing process the steel casting is annealed or normalised.
